Pet of the Week – Penelope (A203076)

UPDATE 3/17:  Penelope has been adopted!

Here is the Mix 103.1 Pet of the Week:

Penelope (A203076)

Penelope (A203076)

Here is Penelope, an adult, red eared slider turtle.  Penelope was found abandoned, so we don’t have any information about her background, and aren’t sure if she is actually a girl or a boy.  This beautiful turtle likes swimming, basking under a sun lamp, and enjoying a water massage on her shell from the waterfall in her tank. Best to a home familiar with turtles that can provide her with the proper environment and care.  Turtles belong to one of the oldest families in the animal kingdom, dating back to the dinosaurs! Red eared sliders are an aquatic turtle, so they will need a nice aquarium setup to live in.  Turtles can be a wonderful pet, lively and fun to watch. Penelope can be adopted for $10. The adopter will need to provide the aquarium or other living habitat, as this is not included.
