Pet of the Week – Jake (A195919)

UPDATE 7/27:  Jake has been adopted!

Here is the KTVA Channel 11 News Pet of the Week:

Jake (A195919)

Jake (A195919)

Here is Jake, an adult, neutered male, Golden Retriever mix.  Happy, good-natured and very friendly, this big guy is active and lively. He’s curious and likes to explore, but is calm, easy to handle, and great on leash. Likes to run and enjoys outings of any kind. He does fine with the other shelter dogs. Has lived with a 4 year old child and did great. Rides fine in the car, has been to obedience classes and knows basic commands. Easy-going and affectionate fellow with an outgoing, upbeat personality. Jake can be adopted for $42, as he is already neutered, which includes his MOA dog license, vaccinations, and microchip.

What a pretty dog. How old is he?

Victoria, sorry for the late reply! We were not given an age for Jake from his previous home and we do not guess on ages here. He was definitely at least a couple years old, and we did not see “senior” body signs (8 years and older), so somewhere in between there. He was adopted this weekend!
