UPDATE 7/30: Astro has been adopted!
We are reposting Astro’s Pet of the Week spot so that everyone can follow the link to check him out on KTVA Channel 11! His spot this morning shows what a special, fantastic, and sweet boy this is!
Here is the Anchorage Daily News Dog Blog Pet of the Week:
We have a very special dog for you to meet today: Here is Astro, a 4 year old, neutered male, pit bull mix. Astro’s story has a sad start, but we’re hoping for a very happy ending! He currently weighs 54 pounds, but was a skeleton of just 24 pounds when he was found a couple of weeks ago. Due to proper diet and care, he has recovered and is ready now for a real, caring home. Astro has a calm, pleasant disposition, and makes a great companion for walks and just hanging out. He’s attentive, well-behaved, focused and gentle. He is a quick learner and already sits nicely for treats and walks right at your side on leash. A quiet, steady rolling pal with lots of love and personality to share. Astro can be adopted for just $57, which includes his MOA license, vaccinations and microchip.
