Pet of the Week – Lucky (A175019)

UPDATE 6/9:  Lucky has been adopted!

Here is the Movin 104.9 Pet of the Week:

Lucky (A175019)

Here is Lucky, a 4 year old, spayed female, husky mix.  A little shy at first meeting, Lucky warms up quickly and is quite friendly and affectionate. She’s curious, focused, attentive and smart, walks well on her leash, and likes having her back scratched. Enjoys being with people and will put her head in your lap for petting. She’s lived with a female dog, with whom she was timid. Due to her shyness, she should go to a home without children (and one without cats, as she will chase small animals). She rides well in the car, is kennel-trained, and enjoys running, hiking, exploring and even skijoring. Great addition to an active home. Lucky can be adopted for $57, as she is already spayed, which includes her MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip.

This is the female twin to my dog.. besides the tail. Would you happen to know exactly what she’s mixed with? We’re trying to find out about my baby Apollo. You can look through my Facebook photos of him if you don’t believe me! 🙂

Lucky was adopted from us back in 2011. We don’t know what mix she was, as she came into us as a stray and “husky mix” was our best guess by her appearance. Unless the animal’s parents are known with their exact breeds or a DNA test is done, there is no way to be certain about a dog’s breed. In fact, identifying breed by visual inspection alone is often extremely inaccurate, but we don’t have the ability to do DNA tests, so it’s the best we can do.
